Dr. Rachel May Margariti was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She is a board-eligible certified pediatric dentist. Dr. Rachel was first introduced to dentistry by her mother, Dr. Klodiana Margariti. She used to shadow at her mother's dental practice in Brooklyn and then learned how to be a dental assistant.
Dr. Rachel earned her bachelor’s degree in science at Cornell University. She graduated with a biology major, along with a minor in Italian. She then obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry in 2021. Dr. Rachel completed her general practice residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in 2022 where she realized that she wanted to devote her career to treating children and patients with special health care needs. She stayed at St. Barnabas Hospital to complete her pediatric dentistry specialty training from 2022 to 2024.
Dr. Rachel is an Attending at the Pediatric Dental Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, where she enjoys teaching the future generations of pediatric dentists as a way to give back to the community, as well as to stay up to date on all the newest dental techniques and treatments.
Dr. Rachel strives to provide pleasant experiences at the dental office for both her patients and their parents and strongly believes that it is a family affair. Her goal is to make sure that everyone is comfortable and feels at ease. Dr. Rachel hopes to be a role model for all her patients, empowering them through their dental visit.
When she’s not in the office, you can catch Dr. Rachel planning her next adventure, traveling, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with her two cats, Roger and Bella.
